But here's my Acker, who's got his first win.
This is crazy indeed. Penn Ar Bed Cyclisme just set its wheel into Division 4, as Placide Acker won Blenhein - Buckingham.
As he trained hard lately (and ate all our money), we wanted to let him try and captain some races to see what he's worth. Well, we saw ... He managed to finish 3rd in Barra do Bugre which sent us to div 5 after only 2 races. We thought that was enough and that competition up there would be too much for us to handle, but Placide managed to grasp a 6th place in the Classico di Siracusa, and just WON in Blenheim - Buckingham, allowing PABC to reach div 4.
This is crazy, really, because all of us agree that, except Placide and Rien Roogaars, the team is, for now, a low-division bunch of climbers. So we'll have to see how things go.
We won, Placide showed he's a magnificent sprinter compensating what he lacks in raw power by technicity and cleverness. Also, monies fell upon us once again, which is good because I am now paid.
By the way, this is Sam, aka Cousin, newly appointed PR manager for the team, with real wages. Nice to meet you and stuff.
